Singing Lessons and Vocal Coaching
develop your singing ability
I am a professional singer with 16 years experience performing in a variety of disciplines including solo singing, ensemble a cappella, musicals, theatre and opera from the age of 9. Read more about me and my experience.
I am able to teach students from total beginners to advanced performers, moving at a pace appropriate for you and your goals.
My exposure to the music industry from a young age, and subsequent performance experience, has enabled me to offer high quality, results-based singing lessons aimed at nurturing an individual or group to achieve their goals.
I specialise in classical vocal training, but have experience performing and coaching jazz, folk, musical theatre, classical-crossover and popular genres. I offer lessons to those looking to improve and enjoy using their voice, whether it be in preparation for a performance or exam, or just wanting to develop their ability.
My Singing Teaching Experience
During my undergraduate BMus (Hons) Music degree at King's College London, I studied operatic singing at the Royal Academy of Music. Having subsequently completed a Masters degree in Text and Performance from RADA & Birkbeck College in 2017, I have developed a well-rounded knowledge of performance and vocal technique.
I have obtained a wealth of knowledge on the anatomy of the voice and how to nurture it in its infantile stages to ensure that the voice remains healthy to develop successfully.
I have been teaching students of all ages and abilities for several years, many of which have gone on to study Music or Performance in further education, performed regularly in public, or simply expanded their enjoyment in singing!
What Happens in a Singing Lesson?
Regardless of your starting level and personal goals, each lesson will include work on your vocal technique, with clear and concise explanations, ready to put this into practice in your repertoire or song work. Depending on whether you are preparing for an exam, a performance or simply enjoying your singing ability, lessons may also include performance and stage presence awareness, aural and sight-singing training, combating stage nerves and effective song-learning technique.
I am happy to discuss all of your requirements, goals and ambitions on a free 'welcome session'.
Where Do Your Lessons Take Place?
My singing lessons are delivered in my fully equipped private studio in Thame, Oxfordshire.
My studio is easily accessible by car with ample parking, by bus on several major bus routes surrounding Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, and a short walk from Thame High Street. It is also a short journey from Haddenham & Thame Parkway train station, accessible from London, Oxford, Birmingham and others.
Who Do You Teach?
I teach students of any age and ability. I believe you are never too young or too old to learn how to sing! Read more about my kids singing lessons.
I teach both adults and children, either on a one-to-one basis or in small group lessons.
One-to-one lessons offer a more personal and concentrated focus on your voice and vocal development, and are the most popular lesson option for those looking to progress their vocal ability quickly with thorough, in-depth coaching.
Small group lessons can be beneficial for those who may find the prospect of a one-to-one lesson daunting to begin with, who may wish to progress to one-to-one lessons in the future. Small group lessons also provide us with the opportunity to work on harmony skills, song arranging and are particularly effective for musical theatre work and those looking to work towards Duo or Group LAMDA exams.
Students interested in Singing Examinations
I have a 100% pass rate of taking students through ABRSM and Trinity exam syllabi from initial grades through Grade 8 in both standard singing and Musical Theatre exams.
Having received a high Distinction mark in my own ABRSM Grade 8 Singing exam prior to attending university, I am confident in my ability to ensure that students receive the highest level of support and training through their exam preparation and enter at a time where they are confident in their ability to pass with the highest marks possible.

We are delighted that Zoë teaches our girls.
She is lovely with them and has a very positive attitude especially when they are finding it hard.
Our eldest is feeling more confident about facing her GCSE music too.
I came back to singing after a very long time away and I couldn't have asked for anyone better to help with that return than Zoë.
She has such a supportive and friendly manner of teaching, and after only 3 lessons I feel so much happier and more confident with my singing.
I look forward to see what will happen over the next months of working with her.
Zoë is really clear at explaining things, and encourages me to always do my best.
